About Thomas Hartshorn

Career highlights past and present

A laborer with over three decades of experience working with his hands, Thomas Hartshorn graduated from West Middlesex High School in Pennsylvania. He began working as a driver at Broudy and Kantor Wine Sales. He later joined Norshipco Shipbuilding as a marine thermo technician. Through five years in this position, Thomas Hartshorn performed marine installation of Hullboard, Rockwool, and Kaylo. He also created thermal blankets for valves and cleaned asbestos from valves and pipes.

Thomas Hartshorn worked as a product preparer and master whey technician with Dairy Farmers of America from 1995 to 2021. In the former role, he prepared eight products for shedding operations and helped load and unload box trucks and containers. As a master whey technician, he operated and maintained boilers and evaporators and oversaw the recycled water process, which involved using an eight-stage reverse osmosis machine.

Since 2021, Mr. Hartshorn has worked as a laborer at Custom Pallet and Mulch in New Castle, Pennsylvania. Beyond his labor experience, he enjoys woodworking and repairing classic cars. His other interests include horseback riding and fly fishing. He's a member of the Good Shepherd Church of West Middlesex and a past president of the board of the West Middlesex Council.
